More photos of Roborovski dwarf hamsters.

I still haven't managed to send out all those collaged postcards and mailart goodness. Partly on Wednesday I was annoyed and upset living in this environment doesn't help. Spent all of the week doing cross stitch, wrestling with straight and back stitch. At the moment I started Xmas ornament kit you can see my progress on the docraft blog. So far I managed to complete one design which is the Red Cardinal a common imagery used in American festive art whilst here in the Uk it is the Robin. In the meantime here are more pictures of Roger and Rafa the Roborovski hamsters.
The two are asleep in the small house, as with all pet owners of small animals there seems to be an obsessive voyeuristic fascination during self cleaning, feeding and going to toilet. Kind of perverse.
The bad boys have their odd scraps. If they are not fed every day there the likelihood of a fight. The sand bath is recent addition since Roborovski originate in the Gobi desert where water is scarce they keep their fur in top condition by rolling about in sand as stated on http://roborovskihamsters.webs.com/ they should never placed on water.
Roger's fur is fluffy, sleek and glossy like the first time they arrived in the home.
Older pictures when they were 14 weeks old, their fur is spiky and greasy. The hamsters face opposite ways when on the wheel. Roger faces right, Rafa faces left there are times they are both on the wheel.
Roger coming to the end of his 360. When a hamster does a full rotation of the wheel. He is usually active at 5.00p.m but lately they have been tired and waking up later.
I just completed another postcard and itching to make more atcs recently brought a book on techniques to create original and wonderful works of art. Maybe one day I can use pictures of the hamsters in my art.
