Nonsense world of crafting.

On the few occasions I tune into create and craft tv, Freeview 36 there either boring bland craft materials or made up terms which are the Western corruption of foreign words. Such as Megapage and Jenigami and doesn't translate to anything. Megapage is similar to découpage derived from French découper- to cut. Jenigami is obviously from Origami (Oru- folding and kami- paper or God). These lame arse, slap and stick crafter to change the original words for their own use. The new words are purely nonsense and laughable. It brings the issue of the use of foreign- non Roman words in crafting, I have noticed a lot of Chinese ideograms used on cards and even the professional get them place the wrong way round they are often inverted or are they implying the Chinese read up side down. Not only this is insulting but also plain ignorant a narrow view of world. In being born of 2 cultures I have learn to embrace the essence of multiculturalism wish I can say for some people on this country.
Common sense would say if you encounter a unknown word look it up in the dictionary or on Google to save yourself embarrassment in the future.
Here is the 'slap and stick' method at its finest. Basically a drawing coloured in brush markers, the drawing is carefully glue in a background. Colours from markers tend to be very bright and can be tone down with dark coloured pencils. I watching anime Hellsing at the time and influence by Alucard's hell hound demonic enamation. Individual cards can be seen in flicker gallery.
Dragons for UKatcs yahoo group I'm have joined. This was basis for the monsters drawings.
I received this from Alison is also a member of UKatcs, oversea postage can be high but never stopped me. She created a collage and rubberstamped postcard the sort of thing I receive from fellow mailartist. I'm find it hard to update my blog and uploaded photos in flickr simultaneously but mostly end up focusing on the flickr. Considering of leaving docrafts because I hardly ever go there and don't even bother to my craft blog. Made a return to nervousness there less activity than a few years ago.
