What I created so far.

Progress has been extremely slow and I have been plagued with a number of problems. The battery eating monster of a digital camera corrupted all the files on my SD card (the same SD card I use to store all my Wiiware games and channels). So I had to retake photos and download all the Wii stuff, it's common sense to use separate SD cards for photo taking and file storage and finally the power in the rechargeable batteries ran out but they can easily recharged. Maybe I'll stick to using my sister's Kodak digital camera. At the moment I feel highly irritable and thinking to writing a manifesto stating what individual creative people like me should be entitled, what art should be and why handmade is better than mass produced. In the mean time I created some paper embroidered artist trading cards. Until I can sort out the camera trouble my photo stream won't be updated for a while.

I find template limiting in creativity, you are bound to the design of the manufacturers. I tried to do something special but there are so many designs which can be created. Dislike using metallic thread mainly because it is rough to sew with. The coloured threads are scraps from leftover cross stitching projects, 6 strand cotton can produce a shimmering effect. On the last card I tried graduation with complementing colours. It has been years since I last did paper embroidery the reason I stopped because the sewing takes ages at the best of 45 minutes another way is use embroidery peel offs which gives different effect like satin and straight stitch. I felt inspired to created these atcs because a Mother's day card I created for my mum. Not much is happening on the mail art scene. I'm trying to use techniques for atcs on larger scale like on A6 or A5 postcard.
